Integrating Sex as a Biological Variable (SABV) in Biomedical Research

 

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH) now offers the course Sex as a Biological Variable: A Primer. Intended for researchers, NIH grant applicants, and peer reviewers, the course examines how SABV can be accounted for and properly integrated within research design, analyses, and other aspects of biomedical sciences. The course is available through 30 November 2023 and consists of four modules about SABV and how it relates to the following topics:

  • Health of women and men
  • Experimental study design
  • Analyses of Data
  • Research reporting
