Emily Dacquisto is a Faculty Research Assistant and Doctoral Program Manager in the University of Maryland’s College of Information Studies. Her research projects include big data and data ethics, privacy policy, content moderation, and values-centered AI. Emily’s professional background is in higher education offices of equity, diversity, and inclusion and the non-profit sector, with expertise in program development and evaluation, grant writing and fundraising, and community mental health support. Her prior research includes women’s and gender studies, food security and access, and community-based participatory research. She holds an MSW from the University of Minnesota and a BA from the University of Iowa.
