Ethan Larsen, PhD

Ethan Larsen joined the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in 2020. Prior to joining the Radiology department at CHOP, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow for the Center for Outcomes Research at Houston Methodist Hospital where his primary project was supporting the study of burnout in intensive care nurses using wearable eye tracking and biometric hardware. He earned his doctoral degree from the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech in 2018, his dissertation examined how hospitals prepared for and responded to the unexpected loss of their electronic health record systems and other supportive information technology.
