Fariba Houman, PhD

Fariba Houman, PhD, is the Research Compliance Officer at Boston Children’s Hospital. Previously, Fariba directed the Human Research Protections Program at Massachusetts Eye and Ear and served as Associate Director of the Human Subjects Administration office at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Fariba received her Ph.D. in microbiology and molecular biology from Tufts Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Fariba did her postdoctoral work in yeast genetics at Harvard and then conducted drug discovery research at Cubist Pharmaceuticals and Microbia Inc. Fariba was a 2015-2016 Fellow at the Center for Bioethics at Harvard Medical School.
