Laura Provencher, BA, MA

Laura Provencher, Export Control Director at UC San Diego, oversees Export Controls, Facility Security, and Dual Use Research of Concern. She has over 10 years of experience working closely with cross-campus constituents to assess and secure international travel and controlled (EAR, ITAR, CUI) data, items, and research. Laura has co-authored articles on elicitation and research security and presented on export control topics, evaluating international travel risk, avoiding coercive risks, and emergency preparedness and response. She has a BA in Psychology and Education from the University of California, Davis and an MA in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Arizona.
