Dr. Rebecca Benson is the medical director of the Pediatric Pain and Palliative Care Program at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and the director of the Ethics Consult Service at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She completed the MD/PhD program and pediatrics residency at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She is board certified in Pediatrics and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and completed a Certificate Program in Pediatric Bioethics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City in 2012.
