Position Highlights:

The International Compliance office within the Corporate Compliance department serves as the Institutions Research Integrity office as required by Florida Statute 1010.35. The Foreign Influence Coordinator (FIC) coordinates system-wide foreign influence compliance operations and processes, including but not limited to the screening of foreign nationals; review of contracts, grants, gifts and agreements; organizations with approved outside activities, and international travel requests as needed to ensure compliance with state and federal foreign influence laws and regulations. The FIC triages, investigates and responds to foreign influence related inquiries, concerns and complaints. S/he functions as a liaison with all internal and external customers and promotes an understanding of foreign influence issues, laws, regulations and consequences of non-compliance. The FIC is responsible for researching foreign influence related topics and regulation changes and assisting with system-wide education.

Responsibilities:

Conducts daily functions of the Foreign Influence compliance program
Reviews organizational activities for any Foreign Influence implications.
Maintains foreign influence tracking systems, databases and documentation.
Delivers Foreign Influence compliance education and training.
Coordinates with other Departments/Team Members as needed to complete foreign influence reviews
Monitors changes, analyzes trends, and remains current on local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
Credentials and Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree PLUS Minimum two (2) years experience of relevant and progressively responsible experience in health care compliance, research or other appropriate field is required.
**In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, will consider Associate’s degree with four (4) years of experience.
Ability to research complex regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency working with MS Office.

Preferred:

Prior experience working with foreign influence or conflicts of interest in academia.
