Karen's professional experience includes a variety of positions, with a focus on Oncology and clinical research. Karen was executive director of a pan-Canadian clinical trials network. Karen is one of the founding members and chair of the Board of Directors of the Network of Networks (N2), a not-for-profit organization with a vision to enhance Canada’s clinical research capability and capacity. Through N2 Karen forged a collaboration with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative(CITI) to establish CITI-Canada, which develops, administers, coordinates and maintains the Canadian course content.
