Bashar Shihabuddin, MD, MS is an Emergency Medicine physician at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Shihabuddin’s research interests are in healthcare disparities and access to acute care, particularly by medically underserved populations. Dr. Shihabuddin earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and a Master of Science in Clinical Research Organization and Management from Drexel University. His research work involves generating clinical guidelines, and using clinical data registries, to ensure equitable evidence-based pediatric acute care in general emergency departments. He maintains a focus on diversity among research teams and in clinical trials, as well as dissemination and implementation strategies.
