Carole R. Baskin, DVM, MSc

Carole R. Baskin, DVM, MSc is a is the current Director of Communicable Disease Control Services for the St Louis County Department of Public Health. She was originally trained as a laboratory animal veterinarian with expertise in research compliance and science policy as it applies to research subject protection and biosafety. Aside from these interests, her career focused on biosecurity policy and emerging infectious diseases, with a number of peer-reviewed manuscripts and a book on Ensuring National Biosecurity in 2016.
