Dr. Chyren Hunter leads a team of Health Scientist Administrators in the development and management of several research programs, including the Specialized Centers of Research Excellence on Sex Differences (SCORE), ORWH administrative supplement program, and NIH’s first Research Grant (R01) on “The Intersection of Sex and Gender Influences on Health and Disease.” She is the contact for efforts to enhance the implementation of sex as a biological variable policy within NIH. Dr. Hunter holds a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences (Neurobiology) from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine through the Biomedical Sciences Doctoral Program of the City University of New York.
