Dennis L. Shung, MD, MHS, PhD

Dennis L. Shung, MD, MHS, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Director of Digital Health in Digestive Diseases and holds a secondary position in Biomedical Informatics and Data Science. He is the Director of Applied Artificial Intelligence at the Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation and the Clinical and Translational Research Accelerator. A physician data scientist, Shung focuses on translational informatics, algorithmic development, and implementation science. He is involved in several national AI initiatives, is an Associate Editor for Gastroenterology, and founded the Human+Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (H+AIM) lab to improve trust in human-AI collaboration.
