Additionally, Ed assists the System with the coordination and facilitation of system-wide training of campus law enforcement, emergency management, behavioral threat assessment teams, and other parties with responsibility for the safety and welfare of students, faculty, and staff. Ed proudly served as an infantry mortarman in the Florida Army National Guard and spent one year in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He’s earned a B.A. in English and a Master’s degree in Public Administration MPA from Florida Atlantic University, as well as a graduate certificate in Community Preparedness and Disaster Management from The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
