Emily Pender, BA, MSEd, CCEP, ECoP® (ITAR/EAR)

Emily Pender is Manager of Export Controls in the Office of Culture, Ethics and Compliance at the University of Southern California (USC). She oversees USC’s export compliance program, supports University committees charged with research security governance and oversight of restricted research, and partners with campus stakeholders to address complex federal mandates in the export space. Emily is an active member of the Association of University Export Control Officers (AUECO), where she has served on the Executive Board, presented at numerous conferences, and written comment letters. Emily holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.S.Ed from the University of Pennsylvania.
