Kim Templeton, MD is Professor and Vice-chair for DEI in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Associate Dean for CME at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She is past-president of the American Medical Women’s Association and past-chair and current member of AMWA’s Sex and Gender Health Collaborative. Dr. Templeton is past vice-chair of the AMA Women Physician Section. She initiated work with the AMA in developing their new policy that recognizes an “expanded definition of women’s health”. Dr. Templeton’s research focuses on issues faced by women physicians and the inclusion of sex and gender constructs in health professionals’ education.
