Maya Nair, PhD, RBP

Dr. Nair developed UNTHSC biosafety program and her responsibilities also include managing the areas of DEA controlled substance, clinical safety for the hospitals and clinics with UNTHSC, risk management, animal safety and laser safety. Dr. Nair participated in NIH training programs in various roles, as PI, faculty mentor, academic advisor, program coordinator, trainer and have presented the outcome of these training programs at various conferences. Dr. Nair mentored and trained several students in Biomedical and Environmental Health and Safety area. Dr. Nair is an active member of the institutional compliance committees and involved in development and review of institutional policies.
