Meshay has 10 years of college guidance, access, and success experience working with and for historically marginalized students in public universities (UNC-CH, U-M Ann Arbor, and VT) and a New York City non-profit setting. While at the University of Michigan, Meshay coordinated the university bystander intervention program. During Covid, Meshay led her organization’s efforts in shifting to virtual learning. Currently, Meshay works on language and culture preservation and revitalization with her tribe (EBCI) in Cherokee, North Carolina. Meshay received her BA in Psychology (UNC-CH) and MA in Higher Education Administration, with a concentration in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (U-M Ann Arbor).
