Miguel Roig, PhD is a professor of psychology at the Staten Island campus of St. John’s University in New York. He became interested in the problem of plagiarism in the mid 1990s and since then he has written and lectured widely on that subject as well as on other unethical writing and publication practices. Miguel has consulted as a subject matter expert in a number plagiarism cases, serves on three journal editorial boards, and is also a member of the board of directors for the Center for Scientific Integrity, the parent organization of Retraction Watch.
