Wilbur Chen, MD, MS, FACP, FIDSA

Dr. Chen is an adult infectious disease physician-scientist with a specific interest in vaccines. He is Professor of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Director of the University of Maryland, Baltimore Travel Medicine Practice. His vaccine research is funded by NIH, CDC, DARPA, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wellcome Trust, and PATH. Dr. Chen serves on a number advisory groups, including NIAID Data & Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB), CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the National Foundation for Infectious Disease (NFID), and Gov. Larry Hogan’s COVID-19 Task Force.
