CITI Program has added a Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) course to our Information Privacy and Security (IPS) series. FERPA is a federal law protecting the privacy of student educational records. It applies to any educational institution that receives federal funds for programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education, including public elementary and secondary schools, state and local school districts, and postsecondary institutions.

This course provides a comprehensive educational resource on FERPA’s core aspects to ensure compliance with the regulations, as well as role-specific material for a variety of professionals working in education and research. It is available for no additional fee, and may be added to your organization’s offerings immediately. Individual modules may also be added to learner groups based on your training needs.
