The University of Minnesota’s 11th Annual Research Ethics Day Conference will examine the evolving landscape of research ethics amid significant changes in research funding, oversight structures, and emerging technologies. The conference will focus on how to maintain essential ethical safeguards while adapting to shifts such as changes in federal ethics personnel, funding models, and support for research oversight, including Institutional Review Boards.
Bringing together national experts from diverse disciplines, the event will explore the current state of research ethics, strategies to strengthen research integrity and trustworthy science, approaches to ethics in community-engaged research, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence. The conference is free and open to the public.
