Join the NIH for its “Trust Through Knowledge Grounding: AI Agents in Biomedicine” presentation in the FAES Science Insight Series.

This session will focus on recent advances in large language models (LLMs) and their application in biomedical research and clinical settings. The talk will examine challenges related to reliability, interpretability, and hallucination in AI systems and explore how expert-curated domain knowledge can address these concerns. Drawing on real-world case studies, including GeneAgent (Nature Methods, 2025), the presentation will highlight design principles for building scientifically sound and interpretable AI agents.

The session will be led by Zhiyong Lu, PhD, FACMI, FIAHSI, Senior Investigator at the National Institutes of Health.
