General Summary/Objective:
We are actively seeking a hard-working, intelligent, and energetic individual to join our growing group of finance professionals. In addition to supporting the general functions of the Finance Department, your day-to-day responsibilities will include overall management of finances for a variety of interesting clinical trials, while acting as liaison between clinical trial sponsors and research sites.
Duties:
As Research Billing Analyst, you will report to the Supervisor, Senior Research Billing Analyst and will perform the following:
· Utilize proprietary software to manage financial activities for assigned research studies in a dynamic, fast-paced, and high-volume environment.
· Communicate with customers and affiliated research sites on a routine basis and promptly respond to inquiries regarding billing and other financial issues.
· Reconcile data with pharmaceutical companies on an ongoing and timely basis.
· Ensure research payments are in agreement with budget and contract terms.
· Prepare research site payment documentation.
· Diligently monitor outstanding balances and make routine collection calls.
· Participate in other ad hoc projects as necessary*.

Education required:
BA or BS in Business from an accredited university.
Experience Required:
Minimum two years of experience working in a Finance/Accounting Department.
Qualifications:
Applicant should be a detail-oriented and capable problem solver, with the ability to utilize analytical skills to identify errors and inconsistencies. Should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task and work as part of a team. Applicant must be able to learn proprietary software quickly, be familiar with Microsoft Word, and possess strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Location:
*Melville, NY
*This position requires the employee to work in the Melville office on a hybrid schedule of two days per month at a minimum, however additional days may be required as determined by management.
Physical Demands and Environment:
This position operates in an office environment using standard office equipment. It is largely a deskbound role. The position requires the individual to see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, and reach with hands and arms.

Salary/Exempt Status/Hours:
$58,000 – $63,000/Non-Exempt
Wage is based upon a 7-hour workday, for a total of 35 hours/week
