Senior Research Administrator

The Senior Research Administrator provides high-level financial support for the contract and grant submission process and post-award fund administration within the Office of Technology Partnerships (OTP), and may also support other units in Research and Economic Development (RED). The incumbent will be responsible for supporting proposals and awards of diverse scope, conducting detailed budget and resource analyses, and reconciling/updating monthly financial statements for assigned portfolio(s) utilizing campus financial and payroll systems. Additionally, the Senior Research Administrator will play a key role in monitoring cost share commitments and reconciling all grant-related costs, including payroll, travel, purchasing, subawards, participant support costs, and contractor expenses, including the review of expenditures and balance to ensure alignment with budgetary goals. A significant portion of their responsibilities will involve reconciling both participant support costs and payroll, including submitting necessary changes as directed by the Assistant Director of check Program Finance & Operations. A strong understanding and application of federal and university policies is essential to maintain compliance in all financial activities. The incumbent will further support the unit(s) by conducting monthly ledger reconciliations, processing cost transfers, proactively resolving financial discrepancies, provide financial ad-hoc reporting and assist with time and payroll tracking, reporting and reconciling for the EPIC Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
