Join the Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) and the Indiana University Office of Research Compliance for the Research Community Forum, Research in the Age of Technology – The Impact of Innovative and Emerging Technologies on Human Subjects Research. The in-person event will be held on March 29-30, 2022, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This two-day forum will primarily focus on applying U.S. federal regulations and policies in human subjects research, then switch gears to the ethics of emerging technologies like AI, biosecurity, and more. Day 1 is a workshop including case study discussions and interactions with OHRP staff. Day 2 will begin with plenary sessions in the morning, followed by the breakout sessions in two different tracks:
Track 1
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Big Data and Biometric Research
Track 2
- Social Media Interventions
- Mobile Health Technology and Mental Health and Psychiatric Research
