The Focus Group Interviews course offers learners comprehensive techniques and analytical strategies to effectively conduct interviews for qualitative research. Michael Petillo, MS – CES Partnership, LLC
Michael (he/they) has worked in non-profit program management, mixed methods evaluation, organizational capacity building, grant writing, and international community development. His/their work has included Native Nation Building research, HIV/AIDS service and prevention, DEIAJ in health equity-focused research and higher education settings, LGBTQ+ and gender-based violence advocacy, and creative writing.
Michele Andrasik, PhD, EdM – Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
Dr. Michele Andrasik is a clinical health psychologist who builds and enhances partnerships with priority communities in clinical research. She is the Director of Social Behavioral Sciences and Community Engagement for the Fred Hutchinson-based HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) and Principal Staff Scientist in the Hutch Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division.
Blanca Guillen-Woods, MA – Strategic Learning Partners (SLP4i)
Blanca Flor Guillén-Woods, Partner at SLP4i, has implemented several applied research and evaluation projects, including multi-site and multi-year projects working with disenfranchised communities. Her experience includes research design, fieldwork, public opinion polling, conducting focus groups, facilitating community meetings, and quantitative and qualitative data analyses.

April Petillo, PhD is an Associate Professor of Applied/Public Sociology at Northern Arizona University and a founding partner/Principal Consultant for CES Partnership, LLC. April’s commitment to transformative work with underserved, underestimated communities and Indigenous nations is evident in her higher education and non-profit experience in program design, evaluation, and curriculum development.
