Dr. Gaskill received her PhD in Animal Behavior and Well-Being from Purdue University and completed a postdoctoral position at Charles River. She joined the faculty at Purdue in 2014 and was awarded tenure in 2020. Her research has focused on elucidating the scientific impact of welfare problems in animal-based research. Dr. Gaskill is currently employed at Novartis as their 3Rs scientist. Her primary focus is applying 3Rs strategies in concert with disease-area scientists to improve both animal welfare and drug discovery. She has published over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, and her work has been acknowledged with several international awards.
