Dr. Carruthers has worked for The Ohio State University for 23 years and served in various roles in research compliance since 2012. Prior to joining the Office of Research Compliance in 2020, Dr. Carruthers was the Institutional Biosafety Officer. She was appointed Senior Director of Research Compliance in January of 2025 and currently serves as the Senior Research Integrity Officer for the university. Dr. Carruthers is also a member of the Association for Research Integrity Officers (ARIO) and is active in Responsible Conduct of Research training.
