John Talerico, III, BSEE, MBA

John serves as the Assistant Vice President for Research Security & Chief Research Security Officer with over 15 years of experience in export controls, sanctions, research security, and industrial security laws and regulations. John’s responsibilities include strategic management of the overall research security program, which encompasses developing and maintaining policies and procedures, training/education, compliance and oversight, and coordinating with government agencies as required. Prior to the AVP appointment, John served as Director of the Office of Export and Secure Research Compliance and Facility Security Officer beginning in 2019 after serving as a Program Manager and Deputy Facility Security Officer from 2009-2019.
