Patrick English, PhD

Dr. English is a Professor of Automotive Engineering Technology at Ferris State University. The primary areas he teaches are Electrical, Alternative Fuels, and Hybrid/Electric Powertrains. He teaches both the engineering aspects and service of advanced vehicle powertrains. Dr. English has two technical associate’s degrees, a BS in vocational industrial education, a master’s degree in workforce education development, and a PhD in technology management. New technology, emphasizing American technology innovation and competitiveness, are special areas of interest for him. He is currently working on an EV curriculum focusing on increasing underrepresented and underserved populations in the EV workforce.
