Randall J. Nelson, PhD

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC)

Dr. Nelson is Professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology at UTHSC. He did postdoctoral work at UCSF and NIMH. He served as a member of several NIH study sections. He was a council member of the NRC Institute for Laboratory Animal Research and is a member of AAALAC Council. He was a member of the UTHSC Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee for twelve years and its chair for three. He has served on the CITI Program Executive Advisory Committee since 2010. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of SCAW and currently serves as its President.
