Dr. Randy A. Albrecht, PhD, RBP (ABSA International), serves as the Senior Director of Biosafety at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, NY. His institutional leadership responsibilities for biosafety and biosecurity include his ongoing service as the Responsible Official for biological select agents and toxins and as the Director of a BSL-3 Biocontainment Shared Research Resource. He is a voting member of the IACUC, IBC, and Laboratory Safety Committee. With over 20 years of academic research focused on emerging infectious diseases and viral respiratory diseases, Dr. Albrecht’s life science expertise is well established.
