Richard A. Martinello, MD

Dr. Martinello is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director for Infection Prevention at the Yale New Haven Health System and Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Martinello received his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, was a resident in the combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics program at the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed fellowships in adult and pediatric infectious diseases and infection prevention at the Yale School of Medicine. In addition to infection prevention, Dr. Martinello’s research interests include respiratory viruses, healthcare communication and emergency management.
