ISSCR Updated Stem-Cell Guidelines

The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) has updated its stem cell research and regenerative medicine guidelines. According to their website, the “The 2021 guidelines include new recommendations to address the recent scientific advances involving embryos, stem cell-based embryo models, chimeras, organoids, and genome editing.”  These recommendations resulted from 18 months of deliberations by a task force of experts including scientists, clinicians, ethicists, lawyers and policy specialists.
