About this Course

Rigorous, scholarly work is expected of all students at the university level. This course will explore academic integrity, plagiarism, and dishonesty, along with how students can be sure they are meeting academic expectations.

Introduction and Academic Integrity Overview

This first module explores academic integrity, its importance, and institutional expectations that students will experience across all disciplines. This course will provide information and allow students to recognize theory and practice and develop the skills and tools needed to understand academic integrity.

Academic Integrity Policy and Violations

Academic dishonesty and misconduct, terms that are otherwise interchangeable in most contexts, occur across all academic disciplines. This module will discuss academic misconduct, the intentionality of use, and author acknowledgment.
