Human Subjects Considerations and Big Data Research examines the ethical issues of using large datasets (big data) in human subjects research, including informed consent, risk of harm, anonymity, data security, privacy, and confidentiality. The module helps IRB members, administrators, and researchers identify how best to protect human subjects when reviewing or conducting big data research studies that create or use large datasets, with a focus on maintaining the value of the data while complying with federal regulations. New Revised Common Rule Course – Human Subjects Research (HSR)
Revised Common Rule provides a detailed review of the changes to the Common Rule, including a focused overview and topic-specific modules. Organizations can easily manage training on the revised Common Rule by setting up new learner groups and utilizing administrator reporting tools.

New Basic and Refresher Legacy Versions – Human Subjects Research (HSR)
What if I want learners to receive training that is not updated to the 2018 requirements (that does not contain any changes from the revised Common Rule)?
CITI Program is offering a “Legacy” content option. Legacy versions of courses reflect the core modules that focus on/or relate to elements of the Common Rule. There are two legacy track offerings – Biomed and SBE, with each having Basic and Refresher level versions. Legacy versions of content must be requested through CITI Program Support. These options can be added at no additional charge.
