2026 NIST-NSF Disaster Resilience Research Symposium
August 18 - August 19
In cooperation with the National Science Foundation, the Engineering Laboratory at NIST in Gaithersburg will host the 9th annual symposium on August 18–19, 2026, highlighting recipients of the Disaster Resilience Grant Research Program. This in-person event will feature a range of research focused on disaster resilience.
Grant recipients will present findings and insights from their work in areas such as:
- Disaster and Failure Studies
- National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program
- National Windstorm Impact Reduction Program
- Reduced Ignition of Building Components in Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) Fires Project
