CITI Program honors Dr. Braunschweiger by awarding an annual scholarship intended to provide funds for an emerging professional to attend a conference in research ethics focused on the areas of the care and use of animals in research, the protection of human subjects in research, responsible conduct of research, or core components of research compliance or administration.

 

Interested individuals are invited to complete the following questionnaire to determine eligibility. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the scholarship will be invited to complete a more extensive application process. About Dr. Paul Braunschweiger

Dr. Paul Braunschweiger, together with Ms. Karen Hansen at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (FHCRC), co-founded the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program in June 2000 as one of the first online platforms to provide research ethics training and education to the research community. With support from the University of Miami and a consortium of experts from research institutions around the United States, it grew from the original ten collaborating institutions to now providing research ethics training and education to more than 1.3 million learners annually, at over 2,100 organizations worldwide. Dr. Braunschweiger currently serves in a part-time advisory capacity and as a member of the CITI Program External Advisory Board.
