This four-module course provides educational technology developers and researchers with a comprehensive foundation in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Designed for those working with or studying digital spaces used by children under 13, the course covers COPPA’s history, legal framework, and limitations, and shows how the law fits into broader privacy and child protection policies—enabling learners to develop compliant products and research practices.
