Join the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP), East Tennessee State University, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, for a two-day, in-person Research Community Forum on March 29-30, 2023.

Audience

IRB members, IRB administrators, clinical investigators, research support staff, research sponsors, contract research organizations, government regulators, and other members of the clinical research community.

Day 1 – Research Community Forum Workshop

Organized by OHRP, forums will offer a combination of instruction and interactive activities to discuss how to interpret and implement the regulations and policies for the protection of human subjects in the United States.

Interactive sessions on patient-centered informed consent and research review under the Common Rule will highlight six sessions. 315 minutes of advanced instruction allows participants to claim up to 5.25 CIP credits.

Day 2 – Conference on the Ethical Aspects of Conducting Human Subjects Research

On Day 2, the event will center around cutting-edge technologies used in research involving human subjects, with focus on areas such as AI, biometrics, mobile health tech, and biosecurity. 240 minutes of advanced instruction allows participants to claim up to 4 CIP credits.
