Introduction to HIPAA and Patient Privacy CME/CEU Badge

Who must comply with HIPAA? CME/CEU Badge

In this module, learners review when HIPAA applies and what requirements healthcare professionals should be aware of to protect patients’ individually identifiable health information. The module provides learners with scenarios that do and do not require HIPAA authorization, common examples of business associates in healthcare and the requirements of a business associate agreement, as well as safeguards to protect PHI, including the minimum necessary standard.
