We congratulate the 2024 Dr. Paul Braunschweiger scholarship winner, Amy Mutore. is a dedicated professional serving as the Senior IACUC/IBC Coordinator at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Texas and brings a wealth of experience to her role. With 17 years in private practice veterinary medicine, Amy significantly transitioned into Laboratory Animal Medicine and Research Compliance. Her Registered Laboratory Animal Technician (RLAT) certification underscores her expertise.
In her current position, Amy plays an integral role in developing practical training initiatives that aim to minimize the regulatory burden on the university’s researchers and their staff, ensuring compliance while fostering a supportive research environment.
