Delay to General Compliance Date

Based on the Final Rule issued 19 June 2018, the revised Common Rule’s general compliance date is delayed six months and institutions are permitted (but not required) to implement three burden-reducing provisions during the delay period (19 July 2018 – 20 January 2019). The current (pre-2018 requirements) regulation is still in effect until the general compliance date of 21 January 2019.
