As part of our commitment to keep pace with emerging technologies, we are excited to announce three new modules for our Technology, Ethics, and Regulations course. We continue to update this course to cover emerging technologies and expand on existing topics.

Meet the Authors

Megan Doerr, MS, LGC – Sage Bionetworks
Megan Doerr, MS, LGC is an associate director at Sage Bionetworks where she supports innovative, participant-centric approaches to open science. Her work has a strong focus on app-based research, concentrating on the ELSI aspects of informed consent and secondary data use including for the All of Us Research Program.

Brenda Leong, MS, JD – Future of Privacy Forum
Brenda Leong is Senior Counsel and Director of AI and Ethics at the Future of Privacy Forum, overseeing privacy analysis of AI and biometrics and their ethical challenges. She collaborates on responsible data management with industry stakeholders and advocates for commercial data. She is a graduate of George Mason Law.

Sara Meeder, CIP – Maimonides Medical Center
Sara Meeder is the Director of Human Research Protections at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She specializes in the intersection between research ethics, regulations, infrastructure, and wearable technology.
