Description
This webinar focuses on developing a welcoming, inclusive online course environment rooted in universal design (UD) principles. The concept and principles of universal design will be discussed as well as applications of UD. Examples of UD applications that are implementable immediately and implementable over time will be provided.

Meet the Presenters
Amanda Kraus, PhD – University of Arizona
Amanda Kraus serves as Assistant VP for Campus Life and Executive Director for Disability Resources at the University of Arizona. UA’s Disability Resource Center is considered an international model of progressive service delivery. She is also Associate Professor of Practice in Higher Education where she teaches courses on student services and disability. Dr. Kraus travels the country and abroad to give talks on ableism and universal design.
Angela Bruch, PhD – Capella University
Angela began her career as a business school administrator but found that what she loved most was the teaching and research that were then a small part of her role. Ultimately, she returned to school and earned a Ph.D. in industrial and organizational (IO) psychology. Angela has been an IRB Chair for a solely virtual IRB for many years. In addition to her IRB role, she also teaches research and psychology courses at Capella University.
