Remediation is an inevitable part of successful teaching and training. This module discusses how to evaluate what went wrong in a class or training session and how to remediate it in a manner that is kind, respectful, and compassionate to you and your learners. More specifically, the module describes the importance of determining learners’ specific needs before the activity begins, the concept of mastery learning, strategies for analyzing why a learning activity’s goals and objectives were not met, ways in which you can modify practices for success, the use of different remediation strategies, and the importance of an individualized, alternative learning path.
