Description
This course introduces learners to the core principles, designs, and analytical strategies that make mixed methods a powerful approach for addressing complex research questions. Through five structured modules, participants explore philosophical paradigms, learn how to design studies with integration in mind, and practice techniques for merging qualitative and quantitative analyses using tools like joint displays and the Pillar Method. The course also examines quality criteria unique to mixed methods and navigates the ethical complexities that arise when combining data types and perspectives. Designed for newcomers, this training provides the essential foundation needed to plan, conduct, and communicate fully integrative mixed methods studies.
Fully Integrative Mixed Methods Research joins our Foundations in Research Methods series of courses, which also includes Introduction to Quantitative Research and Qualitative Data Analysis.
