Join the Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections (SACHRP) meeting, on March 22-23, 2023. This two day meeting will discuss the Government Accounting Office (GAO) report Institutional Review Boards: Actions Needed to Improve Federal Oversight and Examine Effectiveness and FDA draft guidance, Ethical Considerations for Clinical Investigations of Medical Products Involving Children Guidance for Industry, Sponsors, and IRBs. Day one will begin with an overview of the GAO report, then transition into the following sessions:
- Speaker Panel: Defining Stakeholders and Evaluating HRPP/IRB Quality and Effectiveness
- SACHRP Discussion with Panelists
- SACHRP Charge and Recommendation on GAO Report Recommendation #4
