Overview
The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) and Adherence Research Network at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) are hosting the fourth workshop in their series entitled “An Action Agenda: Promoting the Science and Practice of Health Behavior Maintenance.” This workshop aims to explore and discuss the state of the science of behavior maintenance, focusing on implementing, monitoring, and supporting behavioral maintenance in clinical and diverse community settings. This workshop is part of a series that builds upon prior work by OBSSR and the NIH Health Maintenance Consortium. Previous workshops covered the conceptualization, measurement, and interventions for behavior maintenance.

- Showcasing lived experiences of individuals with chronic conditions maintaining healthy behaviors.
- Presentations by clinicians on multi-level approaches and resources that enable patient success.
- Moderated discussion by Dr. Anne Peters on effective behavior maintenance approaches across chronic conditions and contexts.
- Second Session
- Presentations of successful health behavior maintenance programs implemented in clinical and community settings.
- Discussion on the opportunities and challenges for advancing these programs.
- Closing:
- High-level overview of discussions from all previous workshops in the series.
