back arrow Back To Upcoming Events

This virtual Research Community Forum (RCF), Collaboration, Community, and Connection: Partnering to Advance Research, will explore ways to strengthen connections and make research inclusive and accessible to population groups traditionally hard to reach or disenfranchised. Invited speakers will examine how AI is being used in research and explore some of the challenges to research integrity. OHRP is co-hosting this RCF with the University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University, and the University of Pennsylvania, and staff support from the HHS Office of Research Integrity (ORI). Earn up to 4.5 continuing education credits each day for Certified IRB Professionals (CIP).

Agenda Highlights

The forum will feature keynote sessions addressing technological solutions for the digital divide, strategies for making research inclusive and accessible, and engaging rural communities through trusted partnerships. Concurrent sessions will cover topics such as decentralized clinical trials, community engagement, advancing research with minoritized populations, and ethical considerations in AI and technology. The event will also include presentations on implementation science, the role of Human-Centered Design in enhancing collaboration, and generating synthetic electronic health record data for research purposes. Additionally, a panel discussion will explore ethical challenges in AI-assisted clinical research and clinical natural language processing to accelerate research on people.
